Our client wanted to engage employees across the globe and in particular, their younger employee base. Computershare helped them take a digital-first approach, which resulted in a 10% increase in participation and a significant increase in younger employees joining the plan.
Our client, one of the largest mobile network providers in Europe, was looking to increase participation in their Global Employee Share Purchase Plan (GESPP), particularly with their younger employees. Their strategic share plan goals focused on attracting new talent and retaining existing employees so, they decided to promote their GESPP through an exciting and engaging digital campaign.
With most employees teleworking and not physically in an office, this company needed a truly digital solution that ensured they would reach and engage their entire employee base. Computershare provided valuable insights into global best practice and global share plan trends. This empowered the client to make key changes to their plan design, which included increasing the matching component from 2:1 to 1:1, and halving the holding period.
To support this strategy, Computershare created a highly engaging digital launch plan, which included video content, leveraging banners and notifications within the EquatePlus mobile app, and implementing a paperless enrolment process.
The client experienced a 10% increase in participation, which meant an additional 8,500 employees joined the plan during the offer period. This highly engaging approach also resulted in a significant increase in participation from younger employees.
